Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry Numbers From the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire• In July and August 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of visitors from the United States. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.
"It is so thrilling to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019," said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to witness this change and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months or even years.
In line with the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourist arrivals in Israel with 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6000 in August.
